In a recent class we read a book called The Dragon Tree. It is a story about some children whose family dog is captured by a Dragon, living under a tree. At the risk of spoiling the story, it ends with the children successfully freeing the dog.

After reading the story I asked my student (aged 4) to  imagine what happens next or how the dragon would feel after the story finished.

Here’s what she had to say:

The dragon was very sad because she wanted to have dinner with Floppy. The dragon went to the park with her friends. The dragon had an ice-cream and the dragon was happy.
