In my Saturday Love to Write class, we have been exploring different types of poetry. Last lesson, we discussed Japanese haiku. We talked about the structure of a haiku, along with its themes and style. All the students enjoyed the activity, and applied themselves with enthusiasm to their work. I was impressed with their creativity within such a constrained form of poetry. Well done!
