Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The Magic Finger, Fantastic Mr Fox, The Enormous Crocodile….I’m sure you must have heard of or even read one the these books before.

Looking back, my least favourite book as a child was a Roald Dahl book. I was neither a big fan of Roald Dahl nor had a particular interest in any of his books. Interestingly, when I re-read his books with my students recently, I found them surprisingly appealing. I have no idea why is that happening but it’s difficult to tell how much I love to share them with my kids now.

Roald Dahl collection has brought me complicated feelings when I read them at different times. Therefore, I would say his books are one of my treasures that keeps my childhood memories, and hopefully will continue to add in more.
