The deepest level of learning occurs when teachers tailor their teaching style to spark students’ interest and guide them in overcoming the academic challenges they face. I work hard to engage every student I teach in order to develop their love of learning.

Sophie Petrie is a dedicated History student at the University of Cambridge. With a profound interest in teaching the humanities, Sophie has pursued tutoring and teaching for the past four years of her academic career. She has mentored students through their exams and the UK university application process. Sophie aims to create a learning environment where curiosity and critical thinking are fostered. She achieves this by emphasising the power of asking questions and active engagement in thought-provoking discussions in order to learn. In her spare time, she pursues her passion for theatre both through her work with the famous Footlights and by writing reviews for university publications.
