At both school and university, I was inspired by the difference that can be made by an engaging, confident and patient approach to teaching and learning, and this is something I bring into my own teaching practice. I also encourage an enthusiasm for debate, the sharing of ideas, and developing the necessary persuasive arguments as these skills are valuable both in and beyond a student’s exams.

Emma Millar has been tutoring students for several years, particularly enjoying teaching verbal reasoning and English. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and keeping up with current affairs, both of which help her bring additional resources into her classroom and keep lessons engaging and varied. She finds tutoring extremely fulfilling and works very hard to ensure that those she teaches go away with a better understanding of the subject and the confidence to use it in their everyday lives.
